Instructions for Measuring My K9 Harness
We recommend measuring your dog before buying, please don’t guess! Our sizes go on actual measurements rather than a breed guide as the key to a good, comfy fit is getting the right size dog harness for your dog. To measure you will need a soft tape measure (not a steel one) and it is best to have your dog standing up squarely.
Feel free to contact us with any question, we are glad to help you!
CHEST GIRTH
The chest measurement, also known as ‘girth’ is taking the tape measure right under your dog’s body at the fullest point in a complete circle about 2 to 3 fingers behind your dog’s front legs. This chest/girth strap is adjustable! For best fit choose the size according to this size. If the measurement is close to the end of the size range, go up to the larger size.

FRONT CHEST
First find the top of your dog's breast bone. To measure the front chest, measure from just behind the front leg (the 'green' strap) around the front of the dog to just behind the other front leg (again the 'green' strap). Please keep in mind, Norwegian harnesses don't have an adjustable front chest strap, therefore don't measure too tight!
BACK LENGTH
This measurement is needed in order to determine the height of the front chest strap. Measure from the 'red' front chest strap, over the shoulders to the 'red' front chest strap on the other side.
BACK length must always be less than FRONT CHEST length! A good rule of thumb: back length is about half size of chest girth.
